If car reviews are to be believed, I'm in the minority. I love this interior!

Hsnthethird•

Me too, it’s simple and functional with no unnecessary “features” and screens.

fullrunsilviaks•

I love the interior, and although I think it could have been done better, I like that the little screen on the 17+ Limited lets you have oil and coolant temps displayed.

14
Hazindel•

And I get cool dyno/gforce gauge :)

3
fullrunsilviaks•

Lol, the g force gauge would be much cooler if you could see it real time. As it is I think I've looked at it about 3 times in the 2+years I've owned it.

4
willthethrill_IV•

Wish you could actually see the g-force gauge while moving. What’s the point otherwise

3
picmandan•

I love it too. However, I do find the analog speed gauge to be hard to read for my older eyes, and only use the digital one. I would LOVE other gauges in place of the analog speedo.

7
[deleted]•

It's not your eyes. I can read it, but it's useless because the bottom quarter is all you use. I just use the digital and only look at the analogue one to remind myself I have one. Much rather have oil pressure, oil temperature or voltage there.

It'd be nice if we had an oil pressure sensor...

Glares in spun bearings

Hahaha😅🥲

Check my last post

Sad

2
adumblady•

Is that what the noise turned out to be?

2
B4TT3RY4C1D•

Haven't got it to the shop yet. But found a YouTube video of a guy with a very similar sound and the dealership replaced the whole shortblock

pieindaface•

KPower Industries is coming out with a K24 kit this year if you can hold out.

1
magikarpet_ride•

My favorite are the FR-S gauges – same thing but with a white tach and cool T-pattern background.

I feel the same way about the steering wheel. I like the OG simple no-buttons one.

25
Psyteq•

How funny, I swapped my FRS gauge pattern with a BRZ one because I liked the look more. I also think the BRZ overlay looks better with the white LEDs from the FRS gauges.

9
magikarpet_ride•

I had to google what that looks like – that’s clean af. It’s also helping me realize that my problem isn’t with the BRZ gauge face, it’s with red/orange-lit gauges.

5

I went the other direction, swapping the FRS overlay and white LEDs into my BRZ cluster. Couldn’t stand how the red on red of the BRZ cluster at night made it hard to see the redline

My 2014 Toyota GT86 looks like this.

Maybe yours was built on a Monday or a Friday and they accidentally installed a BRZ cluster. Unicorn status, someone call BaT

5
Small_TicTac•

My 2015 US market has them, weird

3
chairmanbrando•

Turns out I'm just an idiot. I had to go check and mine has them as well. I guess I just became blind to it after 4.5 years of driving the car. Kinda weird how brains work (or don't work). I saw that image of the while/silver gauges and got the feeling mine weren't like that for some reason. 🤦‍♀️

3
Go4it296•

Same my 2014 too

1
Dasbeerboots•

Mine did.

Google search.

I just wish the left speedo wasn’t so useless (IMO) in most cases. I just end up using 1/3 of it most of the time :(

10
robemmy•

I don't think I've ever used it

10
JoeyJoeC•

I never look at it. Always gone by the digital readout / GPS speed.

9
knightblue4•

Never used it once. I purely go off of the digital readout.

4
brother_maleim•

4pm?

Ahhh right right. I love the cars and interior but I hate how optimistic the speedo is. Nobody is using that whole thing. Ahaha got mine to 137 and it was basically done

4
SmirnOffTheSauce•

137mph wow! Did you happen to see what the speed was on a GPS to verify? I assume our gauges are a little optimistic (I think they’re allowed to read up to 4% over?)

2
postitpad•

I think the important question here is do the Australian 86s point to 4am?

4
Mlestones•

he probably meant rpm

-2
TheBriMan1•

No he means the speedometer (the one on the left). 0mph at where 4 o'clock is on a clock.

Chrispy990•

My BRZ is so fast it needs TWO speedos

8
IsAlwaysAngryOP•

That's the only real complaint I have but I don't know what I'd put on the other side

Plus 86 mph being at horizontal is a nice gimmicky touch

4
converter-bot•

86 mph is 138.4 km/h

2
IsAlwaysAngryOP•

My bad bot, I forgot it's called the FT138.4

8
[deleted]•

Only in Canada.

5
SmirnOffTheSauce•

Ha I never noticed that!

2
Skvora•

One to tell you how fast you're going and the other to tell you how fast the car in front is pulling away?

2
7400rpm•

Exactly. I don’t like all the noisy displays and screens. Just focus on the big center tach

7
IsAlwaysAngryOP•

A tach is all you need!

9

I prefer the 2017+ dashboard but to each their own.

5
magikmarker7•

I'm guessing you meant Limited cuz Premium 2017+ BRZ dashes are identical to the pic

2

Yeah, I have the limited.

2
JayTV1027•

Wish I can put that dash in my WRX... 😭

4
postitpad•

Love this cluster. Only complaint is the analog speedometer is redundant and hard to read. Would much rather replace it with more useful gauges like oil temp and pressure etc.

4
Skvora•

This. Also, speedo going to 160 is pretty redundant.

1
postitpad•

How so?

1
Skvora•

When it takes the poor thing a year to grunt up to like 145?

1
postitpad•

Redundant means you have two speedometers and you only need one. I think word you’re looking for is ‘optimistic’.

2
HotdogRacing•

This one with the black background and red LED everywhere is my favorite tach out of all the twins. It is so simple, functional, and good looking. Also old school. And this is coming from someone with a '17 cluster. The red LEDs don't mess up your night vision or give you glare.

3
iamthedinosaur1984•

Lol I have mine set to temp too!

2
JoeyJoeC•

I have mine on AVG MPG. If it's more than 15, I'm not having enough fun.

2
IsAlwaysAngryOP•

Mines got enough miles that my average isn't going to be moving much

1
JoeyJoeC•

I reset every tank. Out of curiosity, what is your average?

2
IsAlwaysAngryOP•

Ooh that hurts to look at

Just checked, 29.5. That's 3 or 4 more than when I bought it at 20k miles, I've added 40k.

I use mine to commute on the highway and road trip a lot as well though.

Also it's just been too long since I was near some good mountain roads. I moved out east 2 years ago :(

1
brybot9000•

Saw this and it took me back to mine. Loved the gauges in that car. Really I loved the interior of the Limited trim BRZs.

2
Skvora•

AC controls are pretty spiffy.

3
HackerPleb•

Less is more, I don’t need a bunch of fluffy luxurious shit. That’s why I bought this car!

1
Skvora•

If something still creaks - it means it's still there/works.

2
Gallo12orGallo24•

Wish I could replace my 20' brz with this dashboard

1
-Lumenatra•

Ah.. was wondering what that top button on the left was for. Mine is blank.

1
Skvora•

Until even my 80's MR2 has a goddamn oil temp gauge. And remaining estimated mileage would be a pretty mid-2000's thing to have under sub-options, but nah.

1
boxedmilk•

I’m a fan of digital gauge clusters but seeing this picture still made me smile.
