Good news=depression?
I got the go ahead from my dr to taper off of prednisone. I’ve been on it for a year and on entyvio for 16 weeks, Dr says that despite my last labs looking less than great, because my symptoms are better we will try tapering off again. I ended up hospitalized this summer because we tried to taper but the humira wasn’t working (antibodies against it) My spouse is so excited and preparing to help me taper off (making sure there’s snacks that tempt me when my appetite sucks, warning friends and family to be patient with my mood swings while I’m tapering, planning workouts to help me lose the prednisone bloat, etc) but all I can feel is in the range of anxious, depressed, or nothing. I’ve wanted to get off the prednisone for so long but now that it’s time I can’t find one iota of excitement or happiness for it. Am I insane? Is it normal to feel this way?
