I can't defeat the destroyer

So I play on expert mode an I tried it like 20 times now but I couldn't even take half of his health away. My armor and stuff are full titanium armor, armored shield of cthulhu, spiked worm scarf, leaf wings, ranger emblem, armored frostspark boots and angry shark tooth necklace. I use Range weapons : Unreal Daedalus Stormbow with holy arrows, and sometimes demonic megashark and unreal uzi. (and I use beenades) Mostly I only use the daedalus Stormbow because in videos they say it's the easiest way to defeat him but as I said I can't even take half of his health away. Please tell me anything that could help.

Edit: I forgot to mention I always die to his flying eye things (forgot the name)
