Thank you very much. I’ve always had a fascination with abandoned buildings, it’s as if the earth just slowly starts to reclaims them, as in to say “no , it’s mine.” All the best.

Nicely done. Man tries to establish his presence but ultimately nature tells him otherwise

Thank you for your feedback. I’ve always had this crazy obsession with abandoned buildings. I mean even with buildings that are active, you’ll still see that life will grow on them. Supposedly nature is always looking to reclaim what is hers.

The image created in just 4 lines is really beautiful! It's a small thing but I really love the use of punctuation too, like the full stops and then the comma just really adds to the sense of ownership and nature and it now, and always has, belonged to her

I actually like that idea, and I can now see it in action. Thank you for the explanation and good luck.

Thank you for your comment. The reason why I didn’t want to go into detail on the structure is because of the idea that due to the overgrowth, it’s hardly visible , as if nature has blocked it off, I hope that makes sense. I guess I like the idea of the reader being unable to know what the structure is due to nature preventing it from being recognised. All the best.

It's brief but relative to that it's vivid, and it leaves me wanting to know just what the structure is and where it is. Wondering what it is and where it is leads to a lot of imagination if the reader allows it. I also like how you have described nature as a dominate and living force. This could go in any direction if you wanted it to, or you could leave it just as it is and it would still be interesting.

Thanks for taking the time to read. All the best.

I can vividly see this in my mind. Short but powerful.

Thanks for your comment. Chernobyl is a very interesting case, I mean I’ve always had a thing for abandoned places so going to a place like that (albeit safe) would probably be my paradise lol. Nature will always prevail in the end, sometimes it might take a while but it will always reclaim man’s litter.

So short and poignantly true. I really enjoyed this. To me, it reminded me of a documentary I had seen about wildlife in Chernobyl. The world of human opinion claimed it a no-man’s-land for the coming centuries, but nature had her own ideas. Flora and fauna are now in abundance, even at the ground zone of the disaster.

Thanks for taking the time to read my poem , all the best.

even though the piece is really shirt each lines packs a powerful punch. i was able to grasp the concept and the idea of extremes.

I do like it \*because it kept me wanting more. Thanks for sharing, you as well.

Ha! Another commenter said a similar thing about them wanting to know more about the structure , but there was actually a reason why it’s as short as it is. (Copy and pasted) The reason why I didn’t want to go into detail on the structure is because of the idea that due to the overgrowth, it’s hardly visible , as if nature has blocked it off, I hope that makes sense. I guess I like the idea of the reader being unable to know what the structure is due to nature preventing it from being recognised. All the best.

The brevity of this poem makes me want to see what's been overgrown... I HAVE TO KNOW WHAT YOU SAW!!!

Thanks for the thought provoking poem.
