2020 WRX Sti base pricing

Seems like post history on pricing seems to be varied. I'm looking at a 2020 base WRX Sti w/ Package 1. Suggested retail is 38.9k, price before delivery fee and package options on the sticker is 36,995.

Dealer is willing to go to 36600 before tax, tag and title. This is before any trade-in.. Does this seem like a good deal?

The only true way to know is if you go to a few dealerships and get a quote for that same car. It’s the only true way to get a good point of reference. Dealership will always quote you the top market value. I was able to get a quote for a 2020 STI down to 33.5K. If I agrees to purchase the warranty for 3.5K. It just goes to show the dealership will get their money one way or another.

I got mine for a similar price. 35.4k but I only payed 1750 for the warranty. Figured the dealer still got their fair cut.

Yea, out of the 3 dealers including the one where it's located - this is the cheapest. I have to put down a deposit before they'll head over and physically transport it to the dealer.

So by putting down the deposit ( non-refundable) unless something is wrong or damage - I cannot negotiate further according to them.

Ouch, you might consider waiting till mid March when the dealership start to get the 2021 models or even after Subaru announces the 2022 WRX. I feel the price for the current gen will drop significantly.

Hit up car guru and you can search for the best price. And then call the dealer and see what you can do from there. I flew 800 miles to grab mine but saved like $4k over any local dealership around me. I’d look to get it for like $34-35k I think that’s reasonable.

Have done this but it seems like 36.6-37k is the best that they can do for 2020 base models..

Most dealers don't seem to have these on their lots so I'm thinking waiting for the 21s which apparently are coming on next 2 weeks might be the best route.

You don’t happen to be in Michigan do ya? That’s the price I’m getting around here, was really looking to pick one up around 35k

I ended up AT 40k out the door 120k warranty, some accessories. My area they sell as soon as they hit the lot so basically what they ask is what you pay. Mine counting delivery fees ($900) I believe sticker was $38k.

Would you mind digging up some of the docs so I can see how close it might be to mine? It's tough to find good prices within 400 miles of the area I'm in.

There were a number listed in the NE area for $35.5. I’m sure you are paying doc fees and destination charge over that.

How Much Does the 2020 Subaru WRX Cost? Add the Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) of $27,495 to the destination charge of $900 and a 2020 Subaru WRX with the 6-speed manual transmission starts at $28,395. Premium trim pushes that up to $30,695 and the Limited is priced from $32,995.

This is from interwebs. 36.6 sounds too high for a base model.

Edit: not including tax and title? Rip off.

Not really I paid 40k out the door, decided I wanted a C8 vette now (have 40miles on my STi) and the same dealer I purchased from offered me $35k to buy back.

I got my STi transferred from Darrel Waltrip Subaru in Franklin, TN up to Evansville Indiana. It was a base 20 with popular package 1, OTD cost was $38,500 all in with no money down and no trade. Back in November for 1.9% interest.
