Villain OC- And Bakugou's Brother?

OC

I know... Bakugou doesn't actually have a brother...

He has a Baku-bro!

Name: Shottoju Bakugou

Quirk: Firearm. He has large, cuboid appendages on the tops of his forearms. These appendages have four holes on the front. These holes are where his quirk really comes it. He can build up his extremely explosive sweat in these holes and blast out projectiles of solidified sweat at extreme speeds. He is, essentially, a living machine gun.I

Personality: So imagine Bakugou... But ten times worse... This guy is aggressive, cocky, crude, insensitive, excessively violent and a general jerk. Not even his allies like him.

He used to bully Bakugou, his younger brother, when they were little. This is partially what made Bakugou so aggressive and mean.

Not gonna lie, I think making a relative of a canon character (and a pretty important one at that) isn't a very good idea, especially when they supposedly have such a huge impact on that character.

By making him the reason why Bakugou is so aggressive, you actively undermine and cheapen his actual character and the development that he has undergone. You can do what you want; it's your character, but I don't think what you've got here is good. Feels like your character exists solely to revolve around Bakugou instead of standing on his own merits.

He isn't exactly the only reason Bakugou is how he is. But he is the reason Bakugou would take his aggression out on weaker kids, like Izuku. This, along with his superiority complex, made Bakugou so angry when Izuku tried to surpass him. I wasn't trying to undermine any characters, I simply though of a gun-arm quirk and wondered where it would fit in.

You don't have to make him related to Bakugo

Eh, I just think the quirk neatly relates to his. To be honest, I really don't get how it undermines Bakugou's character. At least, in this case, Bakugou isn't telling a peer to commit suicide just because he has a superiority complex.

At least, in this case, Bakugou isn't telling a peer to commit suicide just because he has a superiority complex.

Which is why, again, giving him an older brother who picked on him, despite canon sources making it clear that he was treated extremely well growing up, undermines the development and growth he has undergone recently. He went from being on top of the world where everyone thought he was the greatest, to realizing that the person he thought was worthless became just as good as him, causing him to reevaluate his superiority complex and how he had treated this person.

You can't give a character a huge ego and superiority complex because he was praised all of his life, while also saying that he has those traits because he was bullied by an older brother that we never see or never hear about. There is a dissonance there, and it's why I think you'd do better to just make this OC their own thing and not tether him to a canon character.
