My progress jan, feb, mar(in that order). Per the last suggestion I have started limiting intake to 2000 cals(I am around 170 cm and 78 kgs). Considering I am working out 6 days a week and limiting the calorie intake I feel personally dissatisfied with the progress. Any tips on what am I doing wrong?

It’s building up gradually, don’t worry I’ve been there. If you’re following a stable and consistent plan it WILL work, don’t doubt it. I understand you are dissatisfied but if you’re following a plan that’s consistent and doesn’t burn you out. Muscle gain is almost always going to increase. If you’re goal is strength, powerlifting is what you need to focus on. An aesthetic torso will come naturally as you progress but make sure you work on lowering the body fat %, it might be hard at first but if you put your mind to it you can definitely see that the muscle mass to body fat ratio will favor you in terms of aesthetics. Don’t stop!

Lowering body fat % is basically eating lower cals than maintainable right? Also any recommendation for program?

It's been only three months. Keep at it. You will get there. The most loss or significant changes will occur in the first 6-8 weeks(water). Then it's a slow grind. But if you keep at it, you will see massive changes around month 6. Just compare month 6 with month 3 to realize the transition. A monthly check would become negligible to notice as the body is fighting the weight loss. Consistency is the key. We have all been here my friend. Keep at it.

Edit: also the lower abdomen and lower back(muffin) is the last to leave you. So don't keep comparing that area. It will go eventually. But you will see more difference in hands and face. If it's still losing, you are definitely doing it right.

Is your goal weightloss? What is your weekly loss? What sort of exercise? 2000cals of what?

Strength actually(slow muscle gain and better aesthetic view of the abdomen area) 2000 calories per day total dietary consumption. I follow Jim stoppiani’s muscle booster plan

Then you’re not eating enough. Maintenance for most men is around 2500 calories and to gain muscle you need to be in a surplus

I was looking at a clean gain(slow version) rather than eating in surplus and getting big. In short looking for a athletic look with muscles rather than a huge look. Does that make sense?

I feel your pain bro. I’ve been really angry with my plateau lately (SW 202, CW 190, M5”11). I’ve had some decent luck throwing in an OMAD here and there to accelerate weight loss, but no doubt that’s lost me some muscle. I was trying for a 1.5k deficit and that was painful. I’m coming back up to a more reasonable 500-750 deficit and keeping up the workouts. The good news is I’m working out harder, the bad news is that the weight doesn’t seem to budge.

Just keep pushing and trust the process, I guess!

Legs legs legs. Legs make up 50 percent of your voluntary muscle mass. If you want to see change specifically when it comes to body composition make sure you hit those legs. I can clearly see change in muscle size on pecs and biceps in this photo but the positioning of the photo makes it difficult to fully understand or do any form of postural assessments etc. otherwise everyone else is pretty right on. This is gonna take time think about how much time it took you to look like you did in January. It’s only been three months and change is already there that’s great!

Great progress

I would suggest that working out six days a week is a mistake. Your muscles need time to rest, recover and grow.

Also, what’s with the hair?
