If he is dropping 16K star surges on you, he most likely outgeared you by a bit, plus got lucky that you were the only target within range of the convoke (didn't split).

As a new found Druid player I must say please nerf this. Convoke shouldn’t be able to do this so quickly from range. However don’t nerf it for feral because we are already in melee for it and can get silenced/ stunned by any ability from that range :) feral master spec gang. Also bites don’t do nearlyyyyy that much

I got hit by a 27k bite from a convoke opener somehow, was prob 220 ilvl at the time too.

Me either, I wish I recorded it. It was 27k bite some other crap and a 17k bite, dead. I'd never been hit above 17k before, not sure how he did it. It was in 2s btw.

Because it's ridiculous that they still haven't fixed it? Like Moonkin doesn't one shot everytime they cast Convoke, which is why people favor the other burst classes for more consistent results.
But just because Moonkin isn't the number one spec doesn't mean that it's still ridiculous that this roll the dice one shot still exists, because it's in no way healthy for the game.

If you let your healer get solod by a convoke because you just expect them to bubble you deserve to be in the bracket you're in.

Warriors: Intervene with overwatch + optional misshapen mirror legendary. 2 star surges reflected.
Shaman: grounding totem into purging the bop and aura to wind shear.
Mages: spellsteal and cs.
DKs: AMZ.
DH: Darkness.
Hunter: Pet sac.
Yeah convoke is 40 yards but if you're not positioning for counterplay and you're lining your hpal his only option is to bubble.

I misplayed by pressing holy shock in that GCD instead of divine shield. Didn't react quick enough to balance druid convoking out of stealth. Outplayed. Kappa
