Capital Gains on Federal Tax Return(Supplement D)
Do I really must enter/submit each transaction I had in regards to reporting Short-Term Gains (buying-selling stocks) on my Tax Return? Or I simply can enter total from Short-Term Section, and it will be taxed accordingly?
Research online shows contradicting answers: NO and YES (but may/will (?) have to send copies of 1099 Comps of my brokerage accounts. So which one is it?
- No, I am not a registered day trader, and my gains/losses are relatively low compared to my total full-time income,
- Yes, I am dumb, this is my first tax Return since moving to the US,
- Yes, I searched before posting but could not find a post or certain info about this question.
Thank you.
