Animal explotation is humanity's worst crime in history

Rant

100 billion animals are murdered in farms, every year. Many of them are not only kept in unbearable agony; they are BRED in order to make every single moment of their existence a form of torture, such as chickens with overly large legs that they can't move just to have a bit more meat.

For reference, 107 billion is the total number of human beings that have ever existed. WE TORTURE AND MURDER MORE BEINGS THAN HUMANS THAT HAVE EVER EXISTED. EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

How can you possibly cope with this knowledge? Everytime I ever bring it up people just say "We have to focus on human issues before we do anything to help animals", or some people even get offended "how dare you treat animal suffering as if it is more important than human suffering!" Every single fucking time I even attempt to bring any kind of attention to this aboslute fucking travesty that makes every single genocide in history look like nothing in comparison, I'm shot down by a billion commenters who think the best way they can possibly spend their existence is by defending the most evil thing done in all of recorded history, and people who dare to get fucking offended, not by the mass torture and genoide, but by the fact that I dare point this out for one fucking second.

I'm just so done with all of this.
