I quit my job
Last night I quit my job. I had it for two weeks and I just couldn't anymore. Before this job I had been working two jobs for the last 3 years and I was sick of it. I wanted one low stress job, darn it! So one day my husbands cousin puts out an add in facebook for an at home secretary job. I get super excited cause this could be my big break! I apply for the job along with one other as a back up. I get a call back from the secretary job finally and I am hired! I am super excited to finally quit the job I had been working at for 8.5 years. I finally start the job and that first day doubts are wiggling into my brain. To work here, I have to pay $100 to set up my own business to work through them and I have to set up a business bank account. This was very odd and confusing but I figured it out. I get maybe 4 hours of training over 3 days and then they throw me in, I have no clue what I am doing, but I slowly start to figure it out. Fast forward a couple days and the stress is building. The things I am doing I dont particularly agree with, causing more stress. I am constantly telling clients I dont know cause I am new and no one has told me the answers. My boss (my husband's cousin) started having me do one thing and would call and ask why this other thing wasnt getting done and then do it again. There was so much more stress involved than both of my other jobs out together. My boss started treating me like crap, even said he is an asshole and hard to work with. If he even admits it, why would I want to work for someone like that? After two full days of crying and a weekend full of anxiety, I worked up the courage to email him (he is in a different time zone and it was late where he is at) and tell him I can't work a job like this. Not when my husband tells me I have been acting so off for who I am since I started. I never cried so much in my life. Now I'm working up the courage and check my email and hope he doesnt call because I never outright quit a job without notice before and I do not like confrontation.
