Knee soreness on Off Days

question

Hi Guys, so I recently bought a house and with the help of r/homegym was able to put together a Rogue Monsterlite rack with the sole intention of coming back to Stronglifts. I had a lot of success with the program back in 2011-2013 with weight loss goals and just building strength.

My question is - Ive got a bit of soreness in my right knee on Sundays - I work out MWF and so sunday is my 2nd off day in a row. Coming back to my workout this morning it felt fine and almost even feels better. It's not a pain or even discomfort really it just feels like I need to stretch it and can't.

I'm just wondering if I should be listening to my body and change something to avoid an injury. I'm fairly confident in my form, but will post a form check Wednesday. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Pain and injury are two separate things.

You can tell the difference because pain will stay the same or get better as you continue to workout whereas an injury will get worse.

For instance, can you squat with broken ribs? Yes. Will it hurt? Oh yes. Will it make the ribs worse or keep them from healing? Nope. So that is just pain. Carry on in what ever capacity you can manage.

Conversely, can you run with a torn hamstring? Yes. Will it hurt? Yup. Will it make the hamstring worse or keep it from healing? Yes. This is injury. This requires treatment.

The easiest way to differentiate the two is to keep working out, address form issues, and see if it keeps getting worse.

If you decide it's an injury it's important to diagnose the issue and figure out what to DO about it. Rest is important but its not DOING something. Active recovery is the best way to fix injuries fast

Doesn't sound like much of an issue. All kinds of aches and pains come and go.
