Unironically, as someone whos out of the loop with the Ike games, why do people say he's gay? I've never played the sequel so I could be missing out on some hot action there.

Mostly his interactions with Soren (and Ranulf to an extent, and the fact that those two are the only characters with changed endings with him in RD) seeming more intimate than his interactions with girls, even Elincia in RD...But I ship IkexLethe tbh lmao

To add on to what others are saying, I think it's possible to read his Soren and Ranulf interactions as either romantic or platonic, but there is basically nothing in the entire game that suggests he is interested in any of the women he interacts with. Characters like Elincia (who fits the "female love interest for main lord" trope very well) and Aimee (who admittedly comes on way too strong) actively flirt with him, and his response is either nothing in the case of Elincia or active discomfort with Aimee, and there are a few other women who debatably flirt with him, leading to more nothing/discomfort from him. And again, if you pair him with anyone other than Soren or Ranulf, in the epilogue he just up and leaves the continent without whoever you paired him with.
Honestly I am personally torn between Ike being either gay or asexual. Though I guess you could make an argument for "straight, but not into any of the women he interacts with"

The entirety of Path of Radiance is just Ike ignoring how much Elincia is flirting with him. There is also his close bond with Soren. Also, he is the only main character who doesn't marry or have the option to marry someone from the opposite gender. Combine all of these facts and I feel like it's pretty clear that Ike is at least not straight.

Every other paired ending in radiant dawn is explicitly romantic, and Ike’s only two paired endings are both with men, so it’s not exactly a stretch.
Plus there are women that are obviously interested in him and he shoots them down pretty relentlessly.
Honestly it would be harder to argue that he’s not gay, or at least, not into women.
