Question: Can you do quests for Necromancers, or befriend them? Also where can I get black soulgems? Can i make them on my own?

I haven't found any necromancers in the game that were not immediately hostile. It's unfortunate, I was hoping for there to be some opposing college for forbidden magic and there would be an awesome fight between the two but so far no luck.
shame, being able to make them in Oblivion was boss. Another question, if you conjure a fire/frost/storm thrall, can you soul trap them? Lower level conjurations can't be soultrapped.

I want to give Azura's Star a good use :D
You can't soultrap your own Dremora Lord's, but they aren't permanent.
I strangely don't have access to any thralls yet.
Do you know if the Dremora Lord is effected by any of the conjuration summoning perks?
Iirc you could buy them from random magic-related vendors. For example the guy who cures you from vampirism is supposed to sell you some.
