One everyday for the past 3 days. Wtf is going on Berkeley
I lived around Channing and Piedmont for 2 years 2018 and 2019, I don’t remember hearing anything like this ever. The most crazy thing that happened was when FiJI accidentally set a rented RV on fire in front of their house🤦♂️
Most of the drama was on the other side College near people’s park

Lol remember when everyone was trying to ban UCPD?
Statistically, this isn't abnormal. Assuming one a day, that's 365 violent crimes a year. That's quite reasonable for a city the size of Berkeley.
This isn’t counting all violent crimes in Berkeley. It’s scary because they’re all so close to campus
Well, that's likely just a coincidence.
Can we just repeal the Mulford act, gun free zones, and the ridiculous restrictions on conceal carrying in California (and in general, everywhere)? And actually listen to the 2nd amendment about keeping and bearing arms?
It’s clear that the laws don’t work. Maybe if people could actually open and conceal carry, criminals would think twice before doing things like this.
But no, because of legislation and polices, only the criminals carry weapons (for the most part). And somehow people still want even more gun control.
Smh

Berkeley in a nutshell, people who just can’t comprehend that someone would believe something in such contrast to the hivemind that they just dismiss it as bait, rather than engage in meaningful discussion.

But you have heard of the argument?
And yeah me arguing here doesn’t help any political cause usually. Everyone is too strongly entrenched in their opinions.
But that being said I do try to keep an eye on new bills, send letters and stuff. Usually to no avail though.
PSA: in what sense is this bait?
This is unironically what should be done. It’s pretty self evident that existing gun control measures have failed. If you abide by the law, it is practically impossible to carry a weapon legally in Berkeley, or in much of urban California. (Open carry is just illegal, thanks Reagan, conceal carry almost impossible to get a permit)
And yet shit like up above still occur on a regular basis. If criminals had to worry about the potential of being shot for making threats, this would help psychologically deter crime. And of course, in certain situations it may benefit the person who is carrying, who can use it in self defense given the opportunity and necessity in a given situation.

Wait I’ve just realized I’ve been baited into replying by a guy saying PSA: b8.
Bruh
Again, in what sense is this bait.
Just because I disagree with the lefts opinion on guns doesn’t immediately mean I’m searching for reactions.

PSA: B8
I wish they gave a description of age range, physical characteristics, any detailed description of the criminals in these types of emails...what are we supposed to do with this vague information?
It’s so sad getting these notifications constantly, the people committing all these crimes have zero humanity it’s disgusting.
