Where is the best place to look for less general and more specialised volunteering?

I know Do.It and Do.it.Life exists, I've tried Reach volunteering but they want skilled volunteers with experience.

I'm looking for anything in tech, analysis, graphic design, digital art, etc. So It Support, Networking, Python data analysis, GIS, energy and gas, renewable energies, graphic design, concept art.

I'm not able to find more specialized volunteering in different sectors that isn't directly skilled volunteering (meaning you have to have skilled work experience to volunteer). I really need to improve my skills and gain some form of experience.

What other sites are there?

Hang on, they want people to have experience to volunteer now?

Yup its getting silly now. Let me give you an example here.

"Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications or other relevant field of study."

"2+ years of digital marketing experience (preferably in a nonprofit or media organization) with an understanding of driving brand awareness and fundraising using content, email, and social channels. "

And they're not paying you for any of that? Volunteering should be running the local scout group or playing dominoes in the local care home or walking dogs at the local rescue. It absolutely should not be working a job for free.

Sadly a lot of volunteering is working for free nowadays. From my experience of volunteering. I've volunteered as a web administrator that was very obviously a paid job but they split the labour between 3 volunteers.

That's beyond ridiculous.

That’s what all volunteering always has been.

It's more of an unpaid internship than volunteering.

Is your end goal to get experience for employment?

Yes that's the goal

Would looking for junior positions or roles that don't quite match up be useful?

I took paid testing and BA roles when I could not get a development role after Uni and was able to transfer into development fairly quickly bypassing the usual experience requirement.

I’m surprised you are surprised.

There are websites like Skillshare or Udemy were you can teach or be taught, and then there are sites like TaskRabbit were you can hire out your services.

It's not really volunteering, but it could be using the skills you have still.

Thanks, I am using those sites exactly and taking an online university part-time course :) The problem is I have a lot of education but no experience to show for it.

I don't know if it's exactly how Task Rabbit works, but I've seen sites where people can hire you to design a logo, create a website etc.

That's why I mentioned Task Rabbit.

If you've used those sites already, maybe try other freelance sites like Fiverr to double up.
