How Do I Pre-Order an Xperia?
Long-term but never day-one Xperia buyer here; what do I need to be looking out for to make sure I get the 1iii on launch day? Are there better sites than just something like Amazon? How quickly do pre-orders tend to sell out? I need this phone, please help me get it.

Depends on where you live.
Sales may start in Japan first (carrier devices), then 2-3 weeks later in Europe.
I live in the US.
USA was last place to get 1ii.
If you pre-oreder from any european website, I do not know if you can get rid of VAT. Also, instead of paying like $1200, would be €1200 + shipping.
You can try ebay. You may find units from Hong Kong.
Many buy from Clove Technology, a store from UK.
