Regular UI Claim has 2 payments left should i apply for PEUC now?

Like the title says i have 2 weeks of payments left for my regular UI claim and i have had a notice in ESD for several week now to apply for PEUC extended benefits the only eason that i havent filled it out yet is because it says i would restart my claim date and im confussed on what excatly that means and i cant afford to miss a weeks payment so i have been hesitent. Anyways any help is much appreciated thank you!!!!
