Disabling mensuration — is it possible?

While playing a female character, has anyone else noticed that the fertilization failure sequence happens for 5-7 days every 28 days in game time? I always end up depleting all my consumables to make up for the loss in health.

Does anyone know of a way to disable intent to reproduce? I haven’t seen it in settings but maybe I’m missing something.

It seems like the devs should know that spawning new characters is a resource hog and a successful fertilization requires a shift in gameplay that not all players find desirable.

It is possible to have a specialized class of doctor perform an endometrial ablation, but this procedure is not permanent and can heal, thus continuing the fertilization failure sequence.

The bilateral salpingectomy procedure will remove the tubes via which a vital part of the fertilization procedure is carried (thus disabling the fertilization feature) and will ensure some forms of the cancer debuff can't appear, but the only way to end menstruation permanently is the hysterectomy procedure.

The doctor classes are mortally afraid of being sued, and many think they know what the female character wants despite being told otherwise, so don't usually do it.

Other classes may also say that you are not a real female character if you do not utilize the fertilization option. Some will ask why you don't quit the game, or question if you are really playing or enjoying the game, if you don't.

There are some items called hormones that can sometimes be used to disable it at least temporarily. Too bad that all characters react to them a bit differently and finding the right item might take a while or you might find that your character isn't suited to use them due to possible debuffs that might follow or you already suffer from. Players in medical care guilds (like doctor class) will know more than I do.

If you equip yourself with a hormonal IUD, you can disable menstruation.

Most classes don't get the monthly period debuff. Human is one of the few classes that does. The devs didn't add any way of disabling it. Maybe try playing as a different class next time. It does mean you get a heavily decreased mental capacity stat.

It does mean you get a heavily decreased mental capacity stat.

But it does also mean you have a pretty good chance of having a tail, so...

I think it automatically goes away starting at around level 40 or so.
