Does being senior enlisted have a reputation of creating soldiers that are full of themselves?

My squad leader just started blue phase of SLC and man he is on one lately. I can’t voice any sort of feeling/emotion when it comes to feeling lonely.

Literally, I have not been touched by another SL since he left back to Fort Couch after HBL. I got excited today when some sergeant checked out my butt. It’s that freaking lonely. He obviously is having the time of his life and living it up and enjoying himself.

Today I TRIED to voice my feelings and he immediately got super defensive and then went into “I need to focus on me. Only a select few can say that .graduates from BLC, ALC, and SLC in the army” Literally from the horses mouth. He was already a cocky MFer before the deployment but now it’s like on another level. Yeah I guess I’m just some lowly stay at home junior enlisted to a PVT and a PV2. I’ve never felt so degraded.

This is coming from the person who graduated college with below a 2.6 gpa and who’s sister wrote most of his papers. I’m not even going to get into my degree or educational background. It’s just degrading.

Kind of wish he was back in ALC at least he was more humble then.
