Tips for beating the Alt Path (Especially for the Lost)

I recently beat the Alt-Path as the Lost. Was not easy, and I only beat it after a -15 loss streak. I made some tips from my experience doing this for myself, so I hope it helps for you. Feel free to also drops tips for beating the Alt Path to fight Mother.

1. No one said you had to do all the floors of the alt path. Skip the first floor of each alternate chapter, and come back to it after the floor you just did. The puzzle/knife piece sequence will be there if you skipped the first floor possible.
2. Always assume the worst, always assume you won't find a key for Downpour, always assume you won't have 2 bombs for the Mines and hoard your consumables until they're needed for entry, always assume you will lose health as you furthur go into the mines when you could be doing the abandoned mines chase with more health than that, always assume the Witness will pull out her most punishing attacks.
3. As a continuation of the previous note, keep that in mind for the Eternal D6. It feels like a 50/50 on the ED6's gamble so only use it on completely useless items like activates on damage, health upgrades, pickup generations in mausoleum+, and maybe range or shot speed if you're not a fan of it and aren't at a low point of it already.
4. Don't pickup familiars but the knife pieces, you're just asking karma to put a strap-on on the Siren for her to fuck you.
5. Beat the Downpour boss first before doing the mirror sequence, seems obvious, but just as a reminder.
6. When you enter a completely empty room with no enemies that you have entered before, stop for a bit, then move. Instinct/reflexes may make you already move but you can be screwed up over obstacles like the spike rocks.
7. Never take speed downs, no exceptions. If you're even more paranoid, following that, don't take pills.
8. Always imagine certain enemies will randomly and suddenly fire a brimstone beam where they are facing like the Bloat, helps especially in the mausoleum against the whippers and Mom.
9. Charming effects are way better against Alt-enemies for clearing out rooms.
10. Always skip the first devil deal as the Non-Lost, you will needthe defensive items from Angel deals when you need to enter the mausoleum.
11. For slippery enemies like Leeches, attack them from the side or keep a large distance away from them as you circle around them. They are incredibly slippery and you need the reaction time to adjust for when they are going to be knocked back.
12. In the mines, remember that the Blasters are instantly killed by explosives.
13. Against Wormwood, just keep on running, never stop except for a few brief seconds when he enters the depths again.
14. Against Great Gideon, fortify yourself in a single area and wait for enemies to come to you unless there are few left in the wave. Better be safe than sorry.
15. Remember attack patterns well for Mausoleum bosses, you should be already for most bosses but push yourself more for those bosses.
16. Most enemies in the alt areas usually have a long delay before they pull out their big attacks, kill them quickly and without hesitation.
