What’s with the squeaky voice / digital singer the Captain seems to be using in all of the intro music the past few months?

”Ey oh ey ey ey oh” It’s awful & really jarring. It just reminds me of the worst kind of crap pop music on the radio these days.

The Captain’s music used to be awesome, maybe just lose the weird computer woman.

Absolutely no other complaints, the guys are complete legends, I just have a gripe about this because I listen in the car & it’s really awkward trying to skip forward while driving!

I actually like it... I'm sorry that you find it jarring. Something tells me that he's just trying to make the voice sound "otherworldly".

PS As someone who took Music Theory, etc, whilst thinking about a degree in music, I can say this... it's NOT as easy to write music as most people think it is. At least he's not using an Atonal key, TRUST ME!

It’s gonna be from a sample pack. Personally I’ve never liked the music (especially the drums).

It reminds me more of the early 2000’s Enya sounding songs. And yeah, I find it odd.

Am I missing something? The music in the show, on Google podcasts at least, lasts for about 30 seconds usually. Is it really THAT irritating? And does your car not have buttons on the steering wheel to skip forward?
