Cargo volume (tons) by region

Dear all,

I'm trying to get a view on the global cargo volume (tons) by region, but have to say it's hard to find consensus data... I'm trying to understand:

• Total cargo tons globally
• Total cargo tons by region

I think part of the confusion stems from the fact that I assume as soon as you look at region levels, the cargo volume is counted twice (in & out)? (e.g. this dataset looks interesting, but I assume is also in&out?)

Is anyone able to help me out a bit?
