[No Spoilers] help out of lost tiver

I took a prawn suit down into the lost river, but I got lost. I'm currently at the biggest skeleton, and forgot how to get out. So, where do I go. I have a compass, so just need a direction. All help is greatly appreciated. Also, other than the alien facility, are there any other points of intrest?
