Hi! Empress Mimi showed up in my Instagram stories and the pictures look really nice. I wanna know if anyone has experienced the subscription ox or even just the lingerie.

Someone made a post a while ago : There are no good subscription boxes.

This is a good post to read through. Instagram photos can even make shein stuff look nice, but when it arrives.... Well.

I should have added: I think there's a much better model you could do with a friend

IF you have a girl friend you can get together to be your own "subscription box" company. You can zelle/venmo etc one another 50$ or 100$ and have them order something for you from a reputable company.

This is nice for a few reasons.

  1. It's waaaaaay more personal.

  2. It's far less of a gamble.

  3. You can really communicate what design aspects you like and don't like with lingerie.

  4. It creates a great conversational piece for friendly outrage and lambasting when they inevitably order you something DREADFUL and similarly a moment for just lauding how wonderful of a friend they are when they pick something you love!

  5. This ALSO gives you a much much wider variety of things as compared to any subscription box.

I did the intro box. It was fine. Nicely adjustable stuff. Took forever to arrive (UK to canada). Quality is so-so it feels pretty delicate. Ultimately I decided I would rather put those funds into curated pieces I chose myself.

Interesting. I’m also in Canada do you have a suggestion for where to buy things without an under wire that looks pretty?

What bra size are you looking for? I'm enjoying my recent bras from montelle which is out of quebec. Wacoal does some decent wire free options. I have some lovely sets from la vie en Rose that are wireless and really pretty. I have an order coming from change lingerie right now but it's not here yet so I can't review further!

Thanks. I’m not even sure about bra size. D?C? 32-34-36? With major weight loss and two bouts of breastfeeding I have flat hanging pancake breast

Come over to the abrathatfits reddit! Their calculator is the best, at least you'll be on the right track. I'd link it but I'm on mobile but I'll pop back and edit this in a minute.

Here it is: https://www.abrathatfits.org/calculator.php

I purchased their blue butterfly set and the quality was poor in my opinion. Butterflies popped off easily. And I hand wash and lay flat to dry. Some of their sets are unique enough to justify having but I wouldn’t reach for it over HB or similar

For the uninitiated what is HB?
