I am a complete idiot: is the SP2000 sufficient to "drive" the ZMF Verite?

I lucked into a A&K SP2000 for a very good price and I am thinking of upgrading my headphones to the ZMF Verite (undecided on closed vs. open).

I know that the impedance is the same (300 ohm) as my HD6XX, which I think sound good, but I feel like there is something I am missing/don't want to run the risk of being underpowered.
