This. Also, use the finger test, not a set volume as that tends to come out better from what I have read.

Which rice? Some medium grain rice is naturally sticky. Are you using long grain? Are you rinsing it well? You can toast it up a bit in a tiny bit of oil before adding the water.

For any particular rice cooker and rice variety you need to do some trial and error. Just keep notes.

It should be a 1:1 ratio. So one cup rice should be one cup water. Two cups rice full be to cups water. Also are you rinsing the rice first? Removing the excess starch will make a big difference

  1. What type of rice are you using

  2. What are the instructions for rice in your rice cooker?

  3. How are you preparing the rice

All good advice above. Also if you are using a measuring cup that came with the rice cooker you may find that it is not a true cup. Ours is about 3/4 of a cup when full to the 1 line, so that could screw up your rice.

I just started cooking and I use an aroma rice cooker as well. When I would put in double the amount of water to rice it was coming out too wet. Now if I use 3 cups I usually put in about 4 to 4 1/2 cups. Depends on how tuff I’m feeling that day lol. Good luck to you bro!
