It my amp is a Kicker cx600.1 what specs should I look for in my subs?

Recommendations

I have a kicker cx600.1 and currently have two 10" Kicker CompC subs. I was told that those aren't the best subs for my amp and the amp could damage them.

So my question is, what should the specs be for the sub I will get? I want to make sure I am searching for more compatible products

Look for something that fits this. I personally would try to find a single 2ohm 12 or something, but my taste might be different from yours.

RMS Power

@ 14.4V, 4Ω mono, ≤ 1% THD+N : 300W x 1
@ 14.4V, 2Ω mono, ≤ 1% THD+N : 600W x 1

Any reason for 1 sub instead of 2? You prefer Localization of the bass?

I'd rather give a speaker the 600 watts and get the most out of my money.

Makes sense.

You prefer Localization of the bass?

Subbass frequencies are not localized like higher frequencies. The wavelengths are measured in feet.

Rockford fosgate p3 would be a good fit or JL w3v3d2 i think there only svc. P3 is dvc

Is the single coil any better/worse than the dual coil?

You can say dvc is better than svc bc of the wiring options u can wire a dual 2 ohm to a 4ohm final load or 1ohm final load , a svc u would need 2 subs to achieve that.

OK. When you said Rockford Fosgate P3.. did you mean the P3 line? Cause I see a bunch of P3.. P3D4, P3D2 etc

If you plan on running one sub the dual 4 the wire it down to 2ohm to get the 600wt rms. P3D4
