Do you need prior diagnosis to get prescribed medication if you’ve already been diagnosed, but over a decade ago as a minor?

I’m not sure if the place I went to when I was younger regarding my anxiety, ADHD, and mild autism still keeps records from that long ago. If I started seeing a doctor would they have a way to pull that up without me having to send a written request to my old institution? The place was also in a whole different state. I asked my mom if she had my old medical records and she said she doesn’t have them anymore.
