How are ViteX dividends distributed

According to vite wiki,

At present, the dividends distributed is 1% of the cumulative dividend pool, which is composed of 99% of the pool in the previous cycle plus the total trading fees collected in the current cycle

So every cycle (i.e. every day?), 1% is taken from the dividend pool and distributed. What happens to the other 99% in the dividend pool? Will the dividend pool just continue to grow?
