How do you deal with vi bindings and i3 bindings be so similar, yet different? Do you change either?
I was going back and forth between two tiled windows, one running vi, and the other running commands.
The constant shifting of my hand from [jkl;] (i3) and [hjkl] (vim) was tripping me up, almost as bad as the old rookie mistake of leaving capslock on when running vi.
Have any of you changed vi to use [jkl;], or changed i3 to use [hjkl]?
Or did you simply adapt?
It makes me wish i3 had an alt-tab feature when quickly switching between two frequently-used tabs. I have alt-tab bound to rofi -show window, but that's not quite it. I use $mod+b a lot to swap between two monitors, but sometimes I'm going back and forth a lot between two windows on the same monitor.
