Antique Adjustable Back Chair - Info Needed

Questions

The chair belonged to my wife's grandmother. It has no identifying marks or words that we can find. Based on Google searches alone, it doesn't look like the design of a Morris Chair.

I know nothing about antiques, and I can't seem to find anything that looks similar online. Wondering if it was not a handmade piece.

We live in Kansas. Any info would be appreciated.

It's an early Morris chair. The first recliners. very lovely.

Thank you. I don't see anything identifying it as a Morris Chair. I also cannot find any similar pictures on the internet with that kind of a side style. All the Morris ones I find have straight spindles.

Have you seen similar?

Not exactly. I was going by the design features as a recliner. We own several Morris chairs and they are all different. The sides on yours are definitely unique. I might be wrong, it's known to happen, but it's a really nice chair anyways.

Thanks again!

If you're asking a question about an antique make sure to have photos of all sides of the object, and close-ups of any maker's marks. Also, add in any background information you have, and add in a question so we know what you want from us! You must tell us the country you're in. If you do not provide this information your post will be removed.
