Thank you to whoever went on a Journey with me just now

:game: Game Discussion

I had a tough day at work, I felt quite negative and insignificant. I know we couldn't talk, but I was so excited to see you.

I'd never had the opportunity to finish the game with someone before, so I was surprised to see that you acknowledged me, you waited for me, you showed concern when I was attacked... I felt like you cared about me. I am so grateful for the companionship and the compassion - I'm really glad we reached the mountain together.

Rest assured, I will remember this kindness and pass it on to the next person I meet - in game, or in real life.

Best of luck on your Journey,

A Companion

During the end credits you companions met along the way are listed , so you can send a personal message via psn if you like

I didn't realize the game keeps putting you with different players til I saw the credits. Thought it might have been AI the way they kept showing up even after you get seperated.

If one companion player gets too far behind (or you yourself get too far behind) I guess the game disconnects and tries to match you with another player that's progressed about as much as you have. Or people just stopping the game will obviously disconnect and let the game search for a new companion.

I think it works like that.

I love Journey. When you meet someone else it somehow almost makes you feel like a toddler at the beach who meets another toddler who doesn't speak your language, so you just play together for as long as you can. It's a strangely moving experience, as is the whole game.

Nah, it had to be Bloodborne

That game is multiplayer? Or is he just talking about some NPC?

It's multiplayer. You don't get a choice of who you play with, just get paired with someone. There's no way to really talk, other than little visual cues.

Highly recommend.

Wow. I had absolutely no idea that this game is multi player. I thought the game was just showing me where to go lol.

I need to do the same. Beat the game a few months ago, mainly solo mission, though (I didn't really know it was another player when I passed people).

I played mostly with one other player, some years ago when I finished it, but we played so week together that I thought it was a bot. I was really happy when I found out input the truth

It wasn’t me, but it is a truly special game. I’ve played through it once on PS3 and found this fellow who tagged along the entire time. I’m glad it helped you out, hopefully next week is better for you!

I never played Journey, but I've got to give it a try now. Glad you got to have/share an awesome experience

I actually downloaded Journey last year when it was free as part of the Play at Home Initiative but with everything that was going on in the world that time, I completely forgot all about it until just last night when I remembered I had it along with The Nathan Drake Collection.

I remember thinking it looked really interesting back when it was first released but I didn't have a PS3 then so I didn't really pay much attention to it at the time.

I'll most likely play it in a few days but before I do, (and anyone is free to answer this question) I'm curious if it's a game you have to play in one sitting or can you play it like you would most games (over a period of time).

I ask as I know you meet other players along the way so in my mind, you can't really leave the game if you're on a journey with someone, as you can't really tell them you're going to head off for a while.
