Is there any way to do a backward test on our plots for missed rewards?

I am curious, I had internet connection problems and I would like to know if I would win any block if I wasn't offline in those periods. Is there any way to check if my plots would be selected for all the blocks of the blockchain?

I know some would prefer not to know, but I would prefer to know if my ISP issues costed me any rewards.

To be clear: this is for information purposes only.

I don't think so. Better not know.

I believe there is a way....chiaexplorer does show you the challenge for each block...so in theory you could come up with a way.

you need to run ur own test-net chain and farm ur plot to see if it receive reward

you may or may not miss anything during the downtime. Network Timelord decides who won the block in fashion of randomly and evenly election. It will be extremely difficult in retrospectively figuring out what you missed, during the period of downtime, due to the randomness in nature.

If I were you, I would not invest time and energy in figuring this out. ROI is poor even if it is possible ( BTW- I do not know how). Basically, you asked a hard question like, if Covid-19 did not occur, what was Dow / S&P index? more specifically, APPL price?

I understand this, I was hoping it would be as easy as doing this for each block:

  • this hash could win (from chiaexplorer maybe or even the db)
  • search all plots for hash
  • does any plot have that hash?
    • No. You had 0 change to win a reward;
    • Yes: you had x% (for which I would find X somehow) chance to win a reward;

This is kind of a good excuse to learn and have a better understanding of how everything works too, so I'll probably try to (do|think|ask about) this for a while until I find a way and scratch this itch or I give up.

Anw, thank you for your feedback. :)

my understanding of timelord determining who are winners is not exactly as who had the exact match for block hash. Loosely, the logic looks like this: 1) who are close to come up answer to a puzzle 2) Among many of them, timelord picks a winner in randomly even fashion. The 2nd part is what I described in the previous message, called difficulty for you to reproduce "the history". Anyway, wish you succeed in your search.
