My response to the "please quit bashing religion" posts
Please quit playing the victim card and grow a pair. Accidentally seeing some kind of meme, picture, or post which pokes fun of whatever religion you subscribe to is extremely mild compared to what a lot of us around here deal with every day in real life. Imagine what it's like having Christians (and no I'm not lumping all Christians into one group) harass you, condemn you to their "make-believe" hell, telling you that you're immoral, and not a "real" citizen because you don't believe in their particular deity. Imagine being discriminated against in politics, in the workplace, and even disowned by your family members simply for having a different belief. So until you've had to put up with bullshit like that, you don't have a right to come in here and get all defensive and whiny about some memes on the frontpage of r/atheism that you happen to find "insensitive." A lot of the posts/images here are just people wanting to vent because they have no where else to go.
