How long should it take for a powder coating company to finish a job?

So I ordered a custom hardtail 7 months ago tomorrow, and I don't have it yet. The builder has been notoriously hard to get a hold of, but I do know he had my bike almost finished a month ago. He had some last braze ons to do and then it was to be shipped off to Spectrum Powder Works in Colorado (I'm in California.)

It's been a month now, and I haven't heard a word despite calls and emails. Shitty customer service aside (anyone have some torches or pitchforks?) how long should powdercoating take? Anyone have experience with a small builder and lead times? I'm freaking out of my mind at this point and have no idea what the hell is up. /venting over

edit: For some clarification, it was 6+ months just to get the frame fabricated, and a month ago is when it was supposed to be shipped off for powdercoating. Thanks for the responses I already got, I figured it should've been able to be done within a week. I'll keep trying to get in touch with my builder =/
