Back to BF3 after 3 week hiatus; can no longer run the game. Am I alone?

I took a break from BF3 once Skyrim came out and I finally decided to try it out again. I was getting about 45 FPS before, but now I will load into the map, lag for 10 seconds at 15 FPS then crash and get an error message in Battlelog.

I've tried on three separate occasions for about 30 minutes of constantly joining each. I never got more than 20 seconds into a round. Am I the only one with this problem?
