Creating your own GC/HPLC column stationary phases?

Hello all,

I'm currently investigating the enantioselectivity of chiral stationary phases and would like to prepare my own. Does anyone have any experience coating/packing your own GC or HPLC column? As far as I know -its difficult, I just want to know if I am able to do it with the standard equipment I have in my lab. References from literature are also appreciated! Thanks!
