Question: are you cutting the cord because you want to save money or you think regular TV is crap?

I recently cut the cord (a couple of months ago). Yes, I enjoy not paying $120 per month for a ton of channels that I didn't watch plus HBO, but the main reason I did it was because most of the things on TV are CRAP!

I see a lot of posts of people cutting the cord but then immediately turning around and desperately seeking a way to watch the shows they were watching on TV. No judging, but if I wanted to watch these shows, I would gladly pay $30 or so per month to watch them comfortably (hey, you only live once).

Don't get me wrong; I have Netflix and will rent the occasional movie from Redbox, but the two main (related) reasons I cut the cord are (1) TV is crap; and (2) I don't want to expose my daughter to crap.

Anyway, genuinely curious.
