Possible to have PCOS, without the cysts?

Over the past 9 years I have seen quite a few doctors, and most of them look at me and my history and start to think PCOS. I've got the extra weight, facial/other inappropriate area hair, irregular periods but I don't have the cysts (TV ultrasound about a year ago) or the abnormal hormone and insulin levels.

Anyone else experience any of this and have any suggestions?
