Why are some people concerned about microwave radiation from cell phones, when IR and visible light are higher energy and more common?

Is there a reason why the frequencies of EM radiation from cell phones are even considered to be possibly dangerous (though not at all proven), when we are constantly bombarded by IR and visible light every day of our lives which is higher energy. Can I get cancer from a flashlight?
