What to look for in SPD shoes?

Hi R/bicycling I am looking for some advice on bikes shoes. I want something for bombing around on my road bike and doing the occasional tri/du-athlon. I am not looking to win or likely to be anywhere near the front but I would want something relatively quick to slip on.

Any advice for what I should be looking for?

Thank you!
