Disciplinary Prohibation
"DISCIPLINARY PROBATION: the student shall not represent the University in any extracurricular activity or run for or hold office in any student group or organization. Additional restrictions or conditions may also be imposed. Notification will be sent to appropriate University offices, including the Office of Campus Programs."
I may or may not be put on prohibition for allegedly committing an action that was against the student codes of conduct. Does this mean I will be pulled out of all of my clubs as well?
Ask me if you need more information on what happened, but I'm not in any position to guarantee all the information was accurate.
** EDIT:**
Okay so good stories start with alcohol and not salads (Note the story does lack food though, which explains things.) After a long week of testing and studying, me and my friends found a party to go to just to unwind and relax among people we knew. As a college student, it's almost an obligation to black out at least once in ones college career, and that I did. Post blacking out (my friends had to fill me in on this), We allegedly cut down some signs and tried to smuggle them back up into our highrise dorms. Unfortunately, we able to use our cognitive ablilities to realize that if we wanted this to work, sending someone up before us to scout us out probably would have been a better choice. Instead, we went barging into the building, booking it for the elevators. But lo and behold, an RA had just come down from the elevators and had intercepted us with said signs. She rode up in the elevators with us and demanded ID, but once we got to our respective floors, we left her in the elevator with said signs. I found out about this the following Monday after having a surprise interrogation with the CD and an RA. They told me that I was caught doing stupid shit (which I confirmed later with my friends) and that I would have to meet with our RD of the building to sort shit out. The RD said that she had never encountered this before and that it violated some rule A11, and that it risks suspension, prohibition, etc. and that we would all be forwarded to the jurisdiction Rights and Responsibilities for further questioning. I just got the email from Rights and Responsibilities today and I have to schedule my meeting by tomorrow.
Note: I've determined the blackout was a combination of the whole week prior to the incident: lack of sleep, lack of food (I didn't eat anything that day besides a burger i got before the party), and lack of alcohol consumption (I only just started drinking because I used to be an athlete [swimmer] which kept me from doing stupid shit.)
TL;DR I blacked out, stole a sign, got caught, and now shit is hitting the fan.
Honestly, I'm not a bad student. I'm a Bioengineering Major: I study alot, I'm focused on my grades, I don't party much (but when I do, I'm usually not crazy and watch my intake), and I have about 3 RA's that can attest to seeing me in the lounges of their respective floors behaving and studying like a good student. I've never received any other infringements so I'm not sure what the extent of my punishments could be.
