My Dark Passenger

So after what refraining for what now seems like far too long, I finally let my inner Dremora loose. Heimskr the priest is no more.

After hearing this madman's rant far to often, I finally decided he needed to go. So I found a good spot behind the Shrine of Talos, just out of sight, and waited. The more I waited, the more solidified I found myself in my resolve to finally be done with him. How had the Whiterun Guards not approached him in an attempt to quiet him? How had his outbursts not reached the Thalmor yet? The man was a lunatic.

Just after 10pm he finally ceased his ranting for the day, and unbeknownst to him, forever. I followed him to his home, being sure to remain unseen. I was surprised to find that he lived very close to the shrine itself. Once I knew where he lived, it was only a matter of timing.

I waited until just after 4am. Surely Heimskr would be asleep by then, and there would be minimal people in the streets to serve as potential witnesses. I approached his door cautiously. A guard was patrolling the area, but thankfully was on the other side of the Gildergreen, far out of site. I quickly picked the lock on his front door and entered as quietly as I could.

The house itself was very small. Just a living area, very simply decorated, and a bedroom, not even separated by a door. As I rounded the corner, I found Heimskr sleeping. I drew my bow, and silently planted an arrow in his torso. Amazingly though, this did not kill him. As he stood he attempted to let out one final cry, however this was stifled as I planted a second arrow in his chest.

I found very little searching his home. Several Skulls adorned shelves within his living room, which led me to question the priest's sanity even further. I found a copy of "Gods and Worship" under his bed, which I set to rest on his lifeless chest. The skulls I took, leaving one to rest next to his head, a signature of my deed. The others I'm thinking will be useful for marking my next victims.

As I left Heimskr's home, the sun was just beginning to rise. Easily eluding the guard's suspicion I returned to Breezehome to store any incriminating evidence. Today would be a nice, quiet day in Whiterun.

The only question now is, who's next?
