What specific Catholic teaching do you think needs to change more than any other?

I have a list. There are a number of things I think don't have any scriptural foundation, but keeps getting taught to us.

  1. We NEED married priests. There are plenty of married Catholic priests already in the world. We need Latin Rite seminaries to open up to married men.

  2. Catholics needs to acknowledge that Jesus had BROTHERS. It's in the New Testament in multiple places. The "ever virgin" concept of Mary, I'm not sure where it came from.

  3. The Old Testament definition of homosexuality is vastly different from the way gays live in society now. I think that should be looked at. I will elaborate in comments if people want me to.

  4. There is nothing wrong with birth control. Really. If a couple agrees to have children in their marriage, there is no reason they can't control how many they have.

That being said, I am a pretty happy Catholic. I send my kids to Catholic school and make mass more often than not.

This is not anti-Catholic rhetoric. I want this to be an actual discussion of things that CAN be changed without drastically affecting the faith.
