OTS Gaming Rig?

The short of it: I haven't done any gaming for several years, but would like to get back into it. I have a work laptop right now and that's it.

I am not very technical or patient for that matter. The last gaming rig a buddy of mine helped me pick everything out and then he put it together for me (for a few beers of course). He is long gone.

Is there such a thing as a decent OTS gaming rig that would be in the $1,000-$1,500 range? I would like to play an MMO like SWTOR and some single player games.

Any recommendations for a guy like me?

Thanks in advance for any input and assistance!
