Recently transferred. Having issues with residency status. Who should I speak to?

I transferred to UH from Lone star for the upcoming spring semester. While I am not a US citizen, I have my permanent residency pending and I am not here on any type of visa(including F1).

However, UH has put me in as an international student and the residency department has been of no help. They are extremely rude and keep on saying that I am on a visa..

Does anyone know someone I can speak to in regards to this issue?
