Need help. Can't perform write operations on my internal hard drive

This problem began last night after I ran my battery to 0%. When I went to turn it on this morning, I couldn't get past the spinning circle with the apple logo above it. When I was finally able to get it to load into my account, the only applications that loaded were the three I had running before the battery died. I used the command -- Shift control option power to reset which allowed the finder to load but now it won't let me write to the hard drive. I have already tried repairing permissions via disk util and have booted into single user mode to try fsck, but it still won't let me write to my hard drive. Please any advice at all as to what may be the problem or how i might be able to fix it would be super helpful. Please I just want my computer back.
