Am I a bad person?
Sorry for the depressing post. Just hoping someone else might have felt like this before.
For a few weeks now I've wondered if I'm fit to be a parent. I'm 20 (I'll be 21 by the time I deliver) and I've never been around kids in my whole life. I always told myself I'd never have children. But now that I'm pregnant, I don't know what to do. I often consider putting my daughter up for adoption, but I don't want to give her up either. I'm afraid I won't be able to give her the love she needs. I can provide financially, money is not an issue. I'm just afraid I won't be a good mother to her. Lately all I do is cry (including while typing this) because I feel guilty that I'm going to bring a person into this world who might not be able to get everything they need. I couldn't live with myself knowing my daughter isn't getting all the love and support she needs. I don't know anything about kids, how can If be a good mother? I want what's best for her, but I don't know what that is.
Am I crazy? Is this normal? I have a few pregnant friends who are ecstatic and most of them are in much worse situations than me (still live with parents, can't provide financially, etc.)
I hope this post doesn't come off sounding like I don't want my daughter. I want her, I want her to be with me. But what if its not what's best?
