Can consoles get an option to view a larger version of the map?

In between spawns many times I would like to be able to view a larger version of the map, but there is no option for this on the consoles. Even on my large hdtv it is hard to really make out things on the map between spawns, like exactly where squadmates, enemies and vehicles are.
